Adzuki beans are small, red beans that originated in China. These legumes (also called adzuki or azuki beans) are enjoyable and usually boiled with sugars to create popular Asian desserts. Red beans are a good source of magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, copper, manganese and B vitamins. Adzuki also has the status as the “weight loss bean”, low in calories and fat.
